A historically residential area but now known world wide for its shopping, dining and nightlife the district of Causeway Bay on Hong Kong Island is compact but dense not just in population but also in opportunities to see, to experience, to eat, drink and of course to shop.

From the waterfront with the historic Noonday Gun through to the Hong Kong Stadium that hosts international stars and the Hong Kong Rugby Sevens the district is a mix and blend of history, modernity, Hong Kong and British, Asian and European influences.

Stand outside Sogo Department store for 30 minutes on a weekend and see the whole world go buy, shop like a local in the wet market with live fish and fresh vegetables, or dine and shop within the world class malls at Times Square or World Trade Centre.

Travel in a century old tram at walking speed, or go fast with one of the worlds most modern and speedy underground railways.  But best of all, walk the streets so that you don't miss anything!

Being locals to Hong Kong we always advise our overseas visitors and friends to allow plenty of time to explore Causeway Bay, particularly if they like shopping, because although it is a small area it is rich in choices and options even if you look only at the ground floors. Including the hidden gems high up in office towers where genuine but highly discounted watches, fashions and accessories are available and there is little reason for the fashionista to travel to any other district!
